Learn how you can get mentors like: Jeff Bezo’s, Elon Musk, & Mark Zuckerberg

I know you’ve probably heard this 1,000 times before, but I want to reiterate how essential mentors are to the success of your career.  Not only are they your sounding board for all of your big ideas, but they are also the people who offer you expert advice, and can connect you with other’s who can help you accomplish your goals.

Mentor’s are the plug!!

Now, I’m sure that you’ve also heard that if you don’t have a mentor you should look for them in your immediate network of friends and family, but what if you don’t know anyone who you feel can help you transcend to the next level in life?

**In comes YouTube**

Now, hear me out about this. I know that you cannot compare the relationship that you would have between yourself and someone that you could call and even meet with sometimes, to videos of a person that you may not ever meet.

But, there is a method to my madness.

YouTube is home to millions of videos, and it houses great content. There are super dope/super helpful interviews from some of the greatest leaders of our time who are giving us the game on how to reach their level, and even higher.

Now, I think that you should continue in your efforts of trying to reach out to someone who can be more interactive with you, but in the mean time you should build up your mental arsenal with tips from some of these leaders.

Check out the video above, for some great advice from leaders such as: Steve Jobs, Jeff Bezos, Sergey Brin, and Biz Stone.

Who are your virtual mentors?

Issa Rae takes AWKWARD to a new level with her HBO show “Insecure”

So, Issa Rae is high-key my spirit animal!

I fell in love with the Misadventures of an Awkward Black Girl, probably a year ago when I was searching for something new to watch on YouTube, and trying to find inspiration for a show that I want to create in the near future. Once I started watching, I couldn’t stop because I got hooked on how funny and relatable the show was, and I could definitely see myself in a lot of similar situations that J found herself in.

It was also very refreshing to see a lead black female character who didn’t compromise her true self to fit the standards of society.  So, when I heard that her show had been picked up by HBO, I was OD excited, and extremely inspired.

Her new show Insecure, will premiere on October 9th at 10:30 PM, and it is about two black women who are navigating through their love life, work life, friendships, and of course AWKWARD situations.

Eric Thomas gives us the secret to success

I have seen this video probably over 1,000 times, and each time that I watch it, I get something new from his message.

Where are you at right now in your life? Are you accomplishing your goals, or do you feel that there are still some areas you need to improve in?

My guess is the latter. And, that is okay. We all have days, weeks, and sometimes even months where we are not motivated, and stressed out about the pressures of life.

Trust me, I get it! But, we have to pick ourselves up and keep moving forward in order to get to the next level.

I’m sure most, if not all of you have seen this video once or twice before. But, it can’t hurt to get a refresher on the things that you need to work on in order to be successful in life.

What’s your favorite line from this video? Check it out below:

Fifty Shades of Grey: The Weeknd “Earned It” | Cover

Hello beautiful souls,

Since the much-anticipated movie “Fifty Shades of Grey” came out today, I wanted to share with you all my cover of The Weeknd’s song “Earned It” from the soundtrack for the movie. When I heard this song about three weeks ago, I immediately fell in love. After that day, I am not sure if it was fate, or my own paranoia, but I felt like the song was following me around. I couldn’t turn on Pandora, my car radio, or get on YouTube without hearing this song…so I decided to sing it.
